THE SOUND OF MUSIC –
OUR FIRST PRODUCTION!

Bridge Youth Theatre is holding auditions for its first Cambridge production of The Sound of Music by Rodgers and Hammerstein next month! We’re looking for young performers aged 7–21 who are eager to develop their performance skills while working with experienced theatre professionals. The production will culminate in performances at The Great Hall, The Leys School in April 2026.

  • AUDITIONS Sun 9 November
  • RECALLS Sun 16 November
  • REHEARSALS Intensive Week (compulsory): Mon 16 – Sat 21 February, 10:00 – 17:30 with regular evening rehearsals on Mon & Thur, 18:30-21:00 and Sunday, 11:00 – 17:00 (set dates not every week)
  • SHOW WEEK Tue 14 - Sat 18 April

WHO WE ARE

Louis Ling

Louis works extensively across the UK providing children’s management for major productions. He trained at LAMDA in Stage Management and brings a wealth of experience to his work both on and off stage.

Children’s Casting Director includes A Christmas Carol (Reading Rep).

Children’s Management includes King of Pangea (King’s Head); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Edinburgh Playhouse & UK Tour); Starlight Express (Troubadour Wembley); Oliver! (Chichester Festival Theatre); The Book Thief (Prince of Wales, West End, Belgrade Theatre & Curve); A Christmas Carol (Reading Rep).

Louis was the founder of Cambridge Theatre Company and produced countless youth theatre productions for over 9 years.

Josh Lewis

Josh is a producer, writer, musical director and facilitator. He is a graduate from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s Writing for Performance BA. Previously he trained as a performer at Sylvia Young Theatre School and Italia Conti.

He has worked with young people ranging in age from 4-17 over the past 8 years delivering drama workshops and singing lessons. He focuses on creating work that enables young people to explore their individuality, their own ideas and the stories that matter to them.

In addition, Josh is the founder of Cracking Slate, a theatre company touring participatory shows for young people.
